What is Seaweed?
Seaweed also known as a sea vegetable is a plant that comes from the sea. It consist of certain species of marine algae such as kelp, rockweed and gulfweed. Seaweed has been used in many places for thousands of years. For hundreds of years, seaweed has been used for food. Edible seaweed has been used for a very long time in Asia and Europe. The ancient Hawaiians grew kelp gardens. They used seaweed for food, medicine and ceremonies.
